Four men named Mohammed Jalaluddin Talukdar, Sanjay Kumar Swami, Sajan Singh and Ram Avatar Swami WERE caught red handed at Assam’s DIBRUGARH Airport with an amount of approximately Rupees 80 lacs. While they were boarding in an Indigo flight their bags were scanned and detected with days huge cash.
According to the sources they came carrying rupees 79 lakh into cartons from Khonsa district in Arunachal Pradeshand were going to Rajasthan after the money was given to them allegedly by a man named Bijoy Shankar Agarwal.
Dibrugarh Senior police officer, Prateek Vijay Kumar Thube said, “Today we arrested four people from Dibrugarh Airport while boarding for a flight to Delhi with a huge amount of cash rupees 79 lakh. We have handed them over to income tax Department for further investigation. Right now we cannot say anything because the department is looking into the matter.”
