Indian film actor Faraaz Khan has died at the age of 46 years. Faraaz was suffering from a neurological disorder. The actor suffered a number of seizures due to a herpes infection that spread to his brain from his chest. He was undergoing treatment in a Bengaluru hospital where he was admitted in the intensive care unit.
Filmmaker and actor Pooja Bhatt confirmed the news of his untimely death on social media. Bhatt tweeted “With a heavy heart I break the news that Faraaz Khan has left us for what I believe, is a better place (sic). “Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. The void he has left behind will be impossible to fill (sic),” Bhatt further added. She also expressed gratitude for those who helped & extended wishes when the actor was sick.
Faraaz’s family informed last month that the actor was hospitalized. The actor’s family also sought financial help by arranging a fundraiser for his treatment. Alongwith his fans & well-wishers, superstar Salman Khan also reportedly extended financial aid to the family.
Faraaz Khan made his acting debut in the movie Fareb, which released in 1996 and was directed by Vikram Bhatt. He is most popular for his role in the 1998 movie Mehndi directed by Hamid Ali Khan, where he was featured opposite Rani Mukerji.
