Woman from Gujarat murders her mother-in-law after being ‘Fed up’ with her instructions to stay indoors

A pregnant woman from Ahemdabad, Gujarat allegedly murdered her mother-in-law. The mother-in-law of the woman used to ask her to stay indoors and to take bath every time she went outsider. The incident took place in Gota, Gujarat. The accused has been identified as as Nikita Agarwal. Agarwal told that her mother-in-law (Rekha Agarwal) used to beat her with an iron bar. On the day of incident, she caught the ironbar and hit her on head.

According to Times of India, Rekha Agarwal used to force Nikita Agarwal to take a bath whenever she went outside or met any outsider. Agarwal also told that the lockdowns was also a reason behind her frustration which lead to the incident.

An official stated that, Rekha Agarwal was suffering for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and was seeking her treatment from psychiatrist. “Due to her mental illness, she could not mix up with her daughter-in-law. Nikita, who is originally from Beawar in Rajasthan, killed Rekha as the latter suspected that Nikita’s pregnancy was the result of her illicit relationship with her father-in-law Ramniwas Agarwal,” the official added.
