Repercussion of COVID-19 in Silchar has elevated organized crimes, street crime, online crime, robberies, etc.
As informed by Mrs. Debjani Nath a resident of Vivekananda Road, Silchar, Assam, she along with her family members left their place at around 3:30pm on Saturday for her relative’s place.
On returning back in the late evening she found that her place was ransacked. Cash, laptop, digital camera, mobile, clothes and many more were looted. Police interrogated the next day and no one has been identified yet. Further investigation to be carried out.
