December 14, 2020: Local police rescued a 14 year old girl from Ujjain, who was apparently a Molkki (sold in marriage for a price) sold by her father, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, to a man from Rajasthan for 4 lakhs INR.
The husband raped and abused her for a month before the girl’s aunt reported the police about this abusive and illegal marriage. She was rescued during her visit to meet her family.
