West Bengal chief minister-Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) was blown again, another MLA Mr Silbhadra Datta resigned from the party on Friday. TMC MLA of Barrack Pore constituency in North 24 Pargana, has recently tendered his resignation from the party.
Silbhadra Datta’s resignation got official just after the subsequent day of MLA Jitendra Tiwari’s rendition from TMC. Besides on Thursday, former minister and feted leader Suvendu Adhikari as well has resigned from Mamta Banerjee’s party. The aforementioned members are among a host of TMC leaders who are allegedly in touch with the antagonist Bhartiya Janata Party(BJP) and are expected to join in the coming days. In upcoming elections, BJP is aiming at retracting Mamta Banerjee from another consecutive term as the chief minister and in the process manoeuvring its maiden govt. in West Bengal. Datta further stated that the TMC leadership should have been more prescient in redressing his grievances.
Addressing the officials of the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), fronting the party’s campaign strategy about organizational matters the two-time TMC MLA from Barrack Pore said- “They had come to talk to me. I told them I would not discuss organisational matters with them. It is not possible for me to take directions from a private agency on how politics or organisational work should be done”.
