On Friday December 18th, INR 3.5 lakhs was snatched away from a man returning from UBI Tarapur branch. Incident took place in close proximity to Tarapur Police station, victim Mr. Uttam Kumar Roy, a resident of Tarapur- karimganj road who had just withdrawn the cash from the bank to pay his fellow workers. While riding towards India club, two hooded riders on a black pulsar kicked his scooter to disbalance him. Later miscreants manhandled him subsequently snatched the bag containing cash and escaped from the spot. FIR was lodged at the tarapur police station but the chief is yet to comment on the matter as it is highly impugnable.
