On Wednesday, 23rd December 2020, for the very first time a green corridor was arranged for a patient named Istiaque Mazumder residence of Madhurbond, Silchar. He had been admitted to Green Heals Hospital, Meherpur where his condition was serious.
The family had arranged air lifting for the patient and the District Administration of Cachar took the necessary steps for easy transportation. ‘Green Corridor ‘an attempt to mitigate negative effects of the built environment of cities and towns and the dispersal movements are being restricted in some emergency cases across the city.It was arranged around 1:30pm when the patient was taken to Kumbhirgram Airport and all the required measures were looked after by the administration.
The District Administration had set an example as they geared to meet the need during that time and took appropriate steps to alleviate the problem of the family. We look forward to many such collaborations between the administration and the health care sector incase of any emergency.
