Pending salaries as Christmas present for Mizoram SSA teachers, says State Education Minister

December 23, 2020:. The State Education Minister of Mizoram, Lalchhandama Ralte announced that the Samagra Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers, over four thousand from all over the state, will finally recieve their pending salaries before Christmas this year. 

   The SSA teachers have not received any salary since August, 2020 and after constant pursuance by the state government on this matter, the centre has finally sanctioned the order for payment of due salaries on December 18. 

   “The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has deposited the amount into Mizoram’s account. All the employees – from primary to high school level under SSA will be paid their due salaries for the months from August to December. They will get their salaries before Christmas.” said Ralte. 

   The announcement came after the opposition Congress party criticised the MNF government of failing to  pay due salaries to it’s teachers and of harrassing the same with hardships during this time of post pandemic.
