   Union Home Minister Shree Amit Shah is scheduled for a 2-day visit to Mizoram on 9th and 10th January 2021, as stated by a Home department official.

Shah will be received by Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga and other officials upon his arrival at the Lengpui Airport on Saturday. The reason behind his visit is to inspect Land Custom Station at Zokhawthar village in Champhai district along the Indo-Myanmar border, said the official, before returning to Delhi on Sunday.

Earlier last year, as reported by The Readers Time, Shah visited Assam and Manipur during his 3-day visit to the Northeast. He laid foundation for a super specialty hospital and eleven law colleges in Assam on December 26 and the next day, on December 27 visited Manipur and laid foundations for many other prestigious projects
