The Central government has placed an advance order for 30 crore doses of Corbevax. Corbevax vaccine is being created by the Hyderabad-based Biological-E. According to reports Corbevax could potentially be the cheapest vaccine available in India when it finally launches.
Corbevax has received the nod for Phase III clinical trials in India. The Centre will be paying Rs 1,500 crore for the consignment of 30 crore Corbevax doses.
