Good news for the students who were not happy with their HS results which were announced without conducting the examination. The students can now appear for a special examination if they want. A notification has been issued by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), which stated that the AHSEC special exam for the Higher Secondary students will be conducted from 1st October.
The notification also said that the question papers will be distributed among the students 15 minutes prior to examination. The state government had also asked the AHSEC to conduct the examination keeping in mind the COVID-19 protocols and guidelines, that are set by the health department. The AHSEC exam 2021 date has been finalized from 1st October to 11th November. Timing- Morning Shift from 9:00am to 11:00am, Afternoon Shift from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. The AHSEC has made some new changes in the current academic season, regarding the admission process of students into different courses of different educational institutions.
The notification issued on 10th September 2021 by the Secretary of AHSEC Bamunimaidam said, “In continuation of the earlier notification No. AHSEC/R&A/ADMN/2020/03/6563 dated 10/08/2021, the following arrangements have been made in the greater interest of students who have not been selected for admission in any of the institutions in which they have applied or the students who have not yet been applied for admission, the ‘DARPAN’ admission portal will be reopened from September 20, 2021, to 22 September 2021 for them for submission of fresh application through the portal by visiting www.darpan.ahseconline.in or www.ahsec.assam.gov.in for admission in those institutions where vacancy is available. The institutions concerned will complete the admission process within September 27, 2021, to September 28, 2021. All the institutions will have to accept admission in the portal using Institution Login ID on a daily basis during the admission process. Candidates will be able to change their preferred subject(s) at the time of admission; and the institution concerned will have to update the same in the portal on the day of admission.”
