PM Modi finished his three days visit to the USA by addressing the 76th United Nations General Assembly on 25th September at UN headquarter. PM highlighted the various flagship initiatives launched by the Indian government for its citizens. PM Modi started his speech by making the world know about the achievements of his government in the field of banking, providing houses to the poor, giving insurance to the people, and health care. PM in his speech talks about an “all-inclusive” and “universal” development.
PM Modi in his speech informed the world that during the last seven years, 43 crores Indians have been included into the banking system under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan yojana and also helped the people who were deprived of the facility earlier. PM also spoke about the insurance security scheme (Bima Suraksha Kavach) in his speech.
Further, he highlighted that over 36 crore people have an insurance security scheme. While highlighting the achievements of his government in the field of health care, PM said that India has offered medical treatment to more than fifty crore people and connected them with quality healthcare service. PM in his address also added that India has the homeless into homeowners by constructing three crore pakka (concrete) houses.
PM Modi also highlighted the issue of polluted water in his address, and noted that the entire world is affected by the issue, especially the “poor and developing countries.” PM said in his address that “In order to address this challenge, we are carrying out a very big campaign to ensure clean piped water to more than 17 crore homes,”.
PM Modi in his latest speech at UNGA 2021 also discussed the origin of the Coronavirus and also speaks about the situation in Afghanistan.
