Sikkim new Covid guidelines for Tourists 2021: On Saturday, the Sikkim Govt issues a new SOP, the notification said, “All those persons who have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccines or carry RT-PCR negative report conducted within 72 hours shall be permitted to enter.”
There will be no checking at check posts and they will be allowed free movement into the state. For all tourists, verification will be done at the hotel and overseen by the Tourism department.
“These requirements like negative RT-CPR shall be verified by the hotels concerned where they are staying. The process shall be overseen by the tourism department”, as mention in the government notification that comes into effect on World Tourism Day on September 27.
In the notification, it is also mentioned that there shall be no restrictions on a person exiting the state through the check posts. Sikkim new COVID guidelines are applicable till October 4.
However, the government imposed total restrictions on the movement of vehicles and persons between 10:30 pm till 5:00 am during the night, except for emergency purposes.
The movements of commercial goods vehicles and loading and unloading of goods have been allowed during the curfew period.
The Pubs, Cinema halls and other similar places of entertainment shall continue to remain closed. Casinos attached with the hotels shall be permitted to operate for in-house guests only.
