Barak Valley News | Govt. Of Assam working for the development of Bengalis in the valley: Dr Rajdeep Roy
Dr Rajdeep Roy, in a programme of All Assam Bengali Speaking Development Council, stated that the Government of Assam is taking several steps for the upliftment of Bengalis in Assam, especially for the students. He also stated that for the development of various communities, the government is taking various steps. He said that the government is not against the Bengalis. For the first time, a Development Council has been set up for the development of Bengalis. For skill development, the youths will be given training in computer.
Chief Minister Dr Himanta Bishwa Sarma is taking steps to secure the future of Bengali students. A development council is set for all the communities of Assam so that they can avail all the conveniences provided by the government. The Chairman of the Council stated that almost 34 Development Councils has been set up.
A total of 35 lakhs rupees have been allotted to the Bengali Development Council. This will be used for the skill development as well as the cultural development of the youths. Various NGOs will be put in action. BJP Cachar Zilla committee president Bimalendu Roy praised the government and stated that the government is not against the Bengalis. The programme had been hosted by Dr Probal Paul Choudhury.
It is to be mentioned that, 24 students have been selected for training in computer. An NGO has been selected to carry out this work. The development council was re-established on 19 January 2020. Rupam Saha has been elected as the President of the Council.
