Sharad Pawar heaps praise on Nitin Gadkari’s project

NCP chief, Sharad Pawar was seen showering praises on BJP leader and Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari. He mentioned that Gadkari has emerged as a great example of how a people’s representative can give their extreme efforts for the development of the country. He also added that he attended the event only because it was Nitin Gadkari’s project.

Sharad Pawar at the inauguration project at Ahmednagar in Maharashtra, where Gadkari was also present, noted, “I remember that before Gadkari took over this responsibility (of the ministry of road transport and highways), about 5,000 km of work had been done. But after he took over, the figure has crossed 12,000 km. I am attending this function because I was told that Gadkari was going to inaugurate many projects in Ahmednagar which would solve long-pending issues of the city, and he wants me to be present.”

Pawar also mentioned that in most cases, it is found that nothing happens after the stone-laying ceremony of a project is done. But in the case of Gadkari’s project, it is not true. He said that when it comes to Gadkari’s project, in a few days of the ceremony, one can see the works proceed like thunder.

It is noticed that Gadkari and Sharad Pawar share a very close bond, even away from politics. Gadkari was seen speaking about Pawar on many other occasions previously. Gadkari once said, “Once (Samajwadi Party leader) Mulayam Singh asked me how was it that I and Sharad Pawar were seen together at Murli Manohar Joshi’s felicitation in Parliament though we are from rival parties. I told him that in Maharashtra, politics happens only during elections, afterwards we become friends.”

Recently in Haryana, he went to review the progress of the New Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. He is also engaged in delivering lectures online. He said that he now earns around ₹4 lakhs just from his YouTube channel every month. Also, Gadkari is soon coming with his next project that will make it compulsory for all vehicle manufacturers to make flex-fuel engines, which is in itself a revolutionary idea.
