Meghalaya Ex-CM’s Son Burnt Alive; An assistant professor burnt alive in a tragic car accident

Meghalaya professor burnt alive in a road mishap. In this case, the deceased person was identified as Ferdinand B Lyngdoh, he was traveling from Tura to Shillong by driving his car and suddenly his car burst, and fire engulfed the entire car.

This incident took place on Sunday near Umran diary on the Shillong-Guwahati national highway in the Bhoi district.

Ferdinand B Lyngdoh was an Assistant professor in charge of the Department of Basic Science and Humanities at the College of Community science in Sangsanggre. Tura, was also the younger brother of the Congress MLA George Lyngdoh.

Ri-Bhoi the superintendent of Police Nazarius Lamare informed that due to the high pressure the AC burst and the windows were completely shut.

Earlier, at least 6 people have died as a bus carrying at least  22 passengers fell in a river bordering East Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills districts at Nongchram Village at around 12 am on September 29.

The MTC night bus with 22 passengers on board was reportedly traveling at a very high speed between Tura and Shillong when it skidded off the bridge at Nongchram and plunged into the Rinfgdi River.

The Meghalaya CM Conrad Kongkal Sangma has expressed grief at the demise of the six-person in the accident IANS ADDS:  At least 16 people were injured when a Meghalaya State transport corporation passenger bus plunged into the Ringdi River wee hours of Thursday, police said.

A senior police official said that the night super bus fell into the Ringdi  river at Nongchram in East Garo Hills district when it was traveling from Tura to the State capital Shillong.
