Barak Valley News | Hearing of Student Liberation Struggle Association case on TET center in High Court

The Guwahati High Court on Thursday heard the written petition of the Student Liberation Struggle Association against depriving six districts, including Hailakandi, of TET examination centres.  The case was heard in the court of Justice AMB Barua on the same day.

After examining all the issues, the court asked the government to find out the reason for depriving the districts from the examination centres. The government side was unable to give a satisfactory answer in court so for the next hearing advocate General D. Saikia was appointed to fight the case.

It may be mentioned that the Student Liberation Struggle Association had filed a written petition in the Guwahati High Court in protest of being deprived of the TET examination centre in Hailakandi.

A total of 12 candidates, including Farid Uddin Laskar, Central Assistant Secretary for Student Assistant Secretary for Student Liberation, filed a written petition in the High Court. Their Lawyer Sahin Bahar Lomber and lawyer Hossain Ahmed Laskar filed a written petition in the Guwahati High Court. The High Court has started the judicial process by filing a petition under WP (C) 5356/2021.

It may be mentioned that on 14th September, a notification was issued for the recruitment of primary and upper primary teacher. Hailakandi district along with seven other districts were also deprived of examination centres.
