Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma is visiting Silchar on a two-day tour on Tuesday. On the way from Kumbhirgram to Silchar this morning, the Chief Minister will visit Puja at Kachakanti Kalibari Road in Udharbond at 9:30 am. He will then visit various shrines in Silchar from 12:40 pm. At one o’clock in the afternoon, the Chief Minister will take part in the tree-planting program at NIT Silchar. At 3 pm, he will attend a meeting with the Department Officers and District Magistrate in the Circuit house. Then in the afternoon, he will inspect the land proposed for the building and the bridge under construction over the Barak River at Annapurna Ghat.
The Chief Minister will visit various Puja Pandals in Silchar from 6 pm to 7 pm. Then at 8 pm, he will attend the Pujo at the house of Minister Parimal Suklabaidya in Airangmara. He will spend the night at Circuit House after returning from Airangmara. The Puja Pandals to be visited by the Chief Minister in Silchar are Panchanan Shivbari in Malugram, Bhairab Bari Soratal-Natun Patti, Prematala Bus Stand, Ramakrishna Mission, Bilpar Durgabari, Tarapur Bus Stand, Tarapur Rice Mill Pujo, Medical Representative Pujo at Link Road, and Bharambaba Temple at Silcoorie.
Meanwhile, an administrative meeting was held in Silchar on Monday on the occasion of the Chief Minister’s visit. In this, different departments were given their responsibilities.
