Heroin Seized in Silchar: Cachar police confirmed that it has seized heroin worth Rs 3.1 crores and alprazolam from an Eco van which was coming from Manipur and was heading towards Jirighat. Police found a tip regarding this and after conducting the operation the police successfully seized 508 gms of Heroin worth 3.1 crores in the international market and 650 tablets of Alprazolam. The police were also successful to take custody of two people including a lady.
Cachar Police in its official Twitter handle said that “Based on a tip-off, an EcoVan coming from Manipur was apprehended yesterday at Jirighat ( Cachar police)and seized 1. 508 gms of Heroin worth 3.1 crores in international market 2. 650 tablets of Alprazolam and apprehended two persons including a lady.”
