Police arrested two suspected bike thieves in the Cachar District. The arrest successfully took place on Monday night in the Borkhola constituency of Cachar. The two thieves were identified as Kabir Hussain and Jabir Hussain Barbhuiya. One of the two arrested thieves was presented before the court on Tuesday and was to be sent to judicial custody, on the other hand, the other arrested thieves were produced before the court on Wednesday and sent to judicial custody.
Kabir Hussain, one of the accused is the resident of Badarpur part II and Jabir Hussain Barbhuiya another accused is the resident of Eyarbond, Part II. The home places of both the arrested thieves, Badarpur and Eyarbond come under the Borkhola assembly constituency.
According to a source of ‘Eastern Chronicle’, under the leadership of Borkhola Borkhola police station’s officer in charge Manmohan Raut, Police conducted an operation on Badarpur, Part-II on Monday night and arrested Kabir Hussain. Whereas Jabir was arrested during another operation by Bhangarpar police on the same night. Both the thieves were arrested They were arrested in connection with the theft of a motorcycle from a house in Bororampur Basti, about 5km from Borkhola police station, on Sunday night. The house owner Roshan Kumar Singh’s brother Ranadhir Singh had informed the matter to the police after which the police case (209/21) was registered and a probe initiated. After filing the case the police presented Jabir Hussain Barbhuiya in front of the court on Thursday and after the court ordered him to send him to judicial custody. Kabir was produced before the court on Wednesday and sent to judicial custody.
