Recently, the state government has decided to remove the TET examination centers in Hailakandi and Karimganj. This has meant that the candidates from Hailakandi and Karimganj will have to appear for their TET exams in Silchar. The TET exams are to be held on the 31st of October in Silchar.
Karimganj North MLA, Kamalakhya Deypurkayastha has brought up the matter of inconvenience caused to the applicants from this region several times with the State government. But according to the Congress MLA, his requests have fallen on deaf ears.
To ensure that the candidates get a fair chance at taking the test, he has ensured that there will be two busses on the morning of the exam to ferry candidates into Silchar. He also informed that he has talked to the DCs and SPs of all three districts of the Barak Valley to ensure that the candidates get to the exam halls safely.
He further added that the exams will start at 8:30 am, and as such the candidates will have to reach quite early. He asked the respective officials to ensure that the busses are allowed to enter Silchar and that no issues arise during the transit. The MLA further, highlighted that in case any issues arise because of which the candidates are not able to reach their respective examination halls, a serious issue could rear its head. The MLA informed that the candidates will be informed of the pickup time and place for the busses in due time.
