Assam TET 2021: Demand to control traffic

Candidates from Hailakandi and Karimganj districts are likely to face harassment in the government’s decision to set up a TET center only in the Cachar district, the only one in Barak’s three districts. In this situation, the Hailakandi District Committee of the Raijor Dal sought the intervention of District Magistrate Keerthi Jalli to ensure that the candidates do not face any difficulty by getting stuck in the traffic on the day of the examination on October 31.

On Monday, Zahir Uddin Laskar, central general secretary of the Raijor Dal, Hafiz Abul Hussain Mazarbhuiya, advisor to the Hailakandi District Committee, and Saminul Islam Laskar, general secretary, and lawyer, met Keerthi Jalli, district magistrate of Cachar and handed over a memorandum on the demand. They said there would be massive traffic jams in Silchar Town in the Cachar district.

Therefore, the Raijor Dal had a long discussion with Cachar District Magistrate Keerthi Jalli on the demand to ensure the safety of the candidates of Hailakandi and Karimganj, including making a suitable roadmap so that no TET examinee would be deprived of the exam due to traffic jams. She promised to take the necessary steps in this regard.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that various voluntary organizations, individuals, and organizations of the Cachar district have already come forward on their own initiative to provide accommodation to the TET candidates of the two districts.
