Silchar is all set to play an inter-district women’s tournament under the guidance of Lovely Goala. Bijendra Prasad Singh, secretary of, Silchar District Sports Association said that a total of 18 finalists have been announced for the event. He added that they will play the first match on Monday against Tezpur and the match would be played in Morigaon.
The name of the team members are Shahina Praveen Barbhuiyan, Rekha das, Maina Das, Lovely Goala, Gautami Sutradhar, Sangeeta Singh, Shibani Roy, Firthangpui Hmar, Ritu Karmakar, Dipannita Banik, Manjali Das, Srimati Karmakar, Kiran Chauhan, Suman Karmakar, Dipali Maal, Revathi Munda, Sunanda Chanu and Jhumpi Nath. The coach of the team will be Monotosh Sinha, assistant Coach Piyush Das and Sishutosh Basak Manager.
