Cleaning With Vinegar

  1. Fill a large glass measuring cup halfway with two cups of water and two teaspoons of vinegar. If you want to decrease the vinegar’s odour, add one drop of your favourite essential oil. Place the container in the microwave and cook on high for 3 minutes, checking after 1 minute.
  2. Turn the microwave to high for five minutes. You want it to be steaming in there. Don’t open the door for another twenty minutes to ensure that all of the baked-on gunk has loosened.
  3. Remove the container carefully.. It might be hot.
  4. Remove the turntable and use a clean towel to clean it.
  5. Wipe down the microwave’s insides, sides, door, bottom, and top with paper towels or a rag to clean any liquid from the vents. If stains remain, use a sponge soaked in water/vinegar solution.
  6. Replace the turntable.

Cleaning With Lemon

  1. Take one lemon and mash it with your hands to make it a little softer. Then, using a sharp knife, cut it in half.
  2. Place one cup of water in a microwave-safe bowl or large glass measuring cup. Squeeze as much lemon juice as possible from each half of the lemon into the water.
  3. Drop the squeezed lemon halves into the water while it’s heating and Place the container in the microwave and cook on high for five to ten minutes.
  4. Allow the dough to rest for five more minutes before opening the door and removing the bowl.
  5. Remove the turntable, then wipe it clean with a dishcloth and finally with the interior of the microwave itself.
  6. Replace the turntable.

Cleaning With Window Cleaner

  1. Take a microwave-safe mixing bowl and spray it with ten puffs of window cleaner or a two-second pour, then add approximately a cup of water.
  2. Sprinkle the inside of your microwave with window cleaner — especially on baked-on, large spills—microwave for about five minutes in a bowl that has been cleaned.
  3. Wait five minutes and carefully remove the bowl. It may be still hot.
  4. Remove the turntable and clean it with a wet paper towel first, then dry one.
  5. Wipe the microwave’s insides, starting at the top and working your way down. Make sure it’s completely dry before storing it.

Cleaning With Soap

  1. Fill a dishwashing bowl with warm water. Soak and squeeze a sponge in the basin until the water is foamy.
  2. Remove the turntable and wash it in the sink with a soapy sponge. Rinse it off and let it dry.
  3. Remove any crumbs from the interior of the microwave using a damp paper towel or rag.
  4. Fill a pan halfway with water and add 1 oz: dishwashing liquid, one teaspoon detergent, and four drops of blue Dawn. Soak the sponge in sudsy water for 5-10 minutes to make it more comfortable to use on the inside surfaces while they’re wet. Starting at the top, wipe the interior surfaces with soapy water.
