Sonali Phogat’s death case took a turn, Curlies Restaurant Owner, Drug Peddler arrested by Police
BJP leader Sonali Phogat’s death seems not to be a natural one but rather a planned murder. While the case was filled with mysterious facts, another twist was uncovered today i.e. 27th August Saturday when the PA of Sonali Phogat, Sudhir Sangwan and his friend Sukhwinder Wasi confessed to the police that they deliberately spiked Sonali’s drink by dissolving some chemical substances.
The DSP in charge of the case, Jivba Dalvi noted that they have detained Curlies restaurant owner and a drug peddler in this case on Saturday morning. Both of them will be questioned and the investigation will proceed very seriously.
Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Wasi have also been arrested by the Goa Police and are being charged with murder.
Previously, it was speculated that the BJP leader died of an heart attack, however, the investigation took a turn when the family of Sonali claimed it to be a murder and not a natural death. Sonali’s brother accused both Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Wasi of murdering his sister.
Besides, the police also retrieved a CCTV footage that clearly shows that Sonali Phogat was stumbling out of the hotel with Sudhir Sangwan just a few hours before she passed away.
