On Sunday, the honorable CM of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, announced that contractual teachers of the schools in Assam who have been performing well for two years would get permanent appointments.
CM Sharma mentioned in his statement at the Veterinary College Playground at Khanapara in Guwahati that from next year, schools that received A+ grades in Gunotsav conjugative for two years will be awarded incentives of Rs 50,000 each. Additionally, the teachers working on a contractual basis in such schools will be given a permanent appointment by the government.
A total of 4841 schools secured A+ grades in the last Gunotsav evaluation. Each school has been awarded a cash incentive of Rs 25,000. The initiative will help boost the educational prospect of the state.
CM of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, also stated that Gunotsav is a useful method in determining the quality of education in the schools of the state. It is a medium through which the transformation of the educational environment of Assam for the betterment of the state is possible.
