Assam’s Dhubri district witnessed violent activity at a mosque. According to the official, the clash occurred between two mosque committees in the Bilasipara neighborhood of the Dhubri district. A person lost his life in the fight, and several others were injured.
The Superintendent of Police for Dhubri, Aparna N., informed the citizens that the investigation is going on very seriously and the police have already arrested two suspects. She also promised that the other accused would soon be arrested.
In the clash, several people also received injuries inside the mosque. Reportedly, the root cause behind the fight was the position of the management committee. The injured people were rushed to the hospital, and Haroon Rashid passed away at GMCH in Guwahati.
The incident started to raise the fire of protest after a person died. However, the police arrived at the spot, controlled the crowd, and promised that severe actions would be taken against the culprits.
