Sanjay Raut, the leader of Shiv Sena, praised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for showing a kind gesture towards him. Despite the ongoing political rivalry, Raut said Rahul Gandhi made a call enquiring about his health.
Reportedly, after the Bharat Jodo Yatra, an initiative Rahul Gandhi took, he is now more focused on serving compassion and love to the people.
Raut is a Rajya Sabha member who praised Rahul when he received backlash for his negative comment on V D Savarkar, a freedom fighter. The Congress leader stated that Savarkar symbolises the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He added that Savarkar supported the British and wrote a petition to safeguard them.
Sanjay Raut took to Twitter to praise Rahul Gandhi and appreciated the gesture of the Congress leader and said it is rare in the current days. He also highlighted that despite spending around 110 days in jail, Rahul Gandhi still managed to have no bitterness about it.
Raut is recently out on bail from Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail against a money laundering case.
