‘The Kashmir Files’ makes its way to the Oscars

The director of the much-hyped movie ‘The Kashmir Files’, Vivek Agnihotri, shared the great news of it being nominated for the prestigious Oscars Award. 

Vivek Agnihotri shared this great news from his Twitter handle. He writes, “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: #TheKashmirFiles has been shortlisted for #Oscars2023 in the first list of @TheAcademy. It’s one of the 5 films from India. I wish all of them the very best. A great year for Indian cinema.”

He further added that the movie and the cast, too, managed to make their way into the nomination in the ‘Best Actor’ category. Vivek tagged several film actors in his post, such as Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, and Darshan Kumarwhile sharing the big news.

On the other hand, Anupam Kher also shared the news in a separate tweet where he mentioned his nomination in the Best Actor Category for IIFA Awards. 

Other than ‘The Kashmir Files, ‘ several other movies have also been shortlisted for Oscar. ‘Kantara,” RRR,’ ‘Vikrant Rona,’ ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ and many other movies are eligible for nominations according to the sources. However, their nomination for Oscars 2023 has not been finalized yet, but they are featured as suitable options.
