Narendra Nath Datta, whose name later became Swami Vivekananda, was a follower of Ramakrishna Paramhansa. He introduced the Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the entire world. Swami Vivekananda initiated awareness regarding Hinduism worldwide in the late 19th century.
He actively participated in establishing Ramakrishna Mission, which he named after his mentor and teacher, Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa. The institution is famous for providing educational and philanthropic knowledge to the world’s people. He believed that a nation could only grow if every citizen were educated. According to him, education is a man-making character-building source.
Swami Vivekananda spoke in the first Parliament of Religion held in Chicago (U.S.) representing India in 1893, and gave a remarkable speech. His ideologies in life mostly revolved around fighting the fear of societal censure. However, Swami Vivekananda presented a new theory of ethics and a new principle of morality that highlights the purity of the soles.
