On Tuesday, two terrorists were traced and encountered in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The police mentioned that they had also recovered arms and ammunition from the two terrorists.
Reportedly, on Tuesday, the terrorists started to fire on the security forces. Later, the local police of Jammu and Kashmir and the Indian Army headed out to stop a suspected vehicle near a court complex in Budgam. Soon after that, in the random firing between the forces and the terrorists, two terrorists were killed.
The Kashmir Zone Police shared the news through a Twitter post. The tweet mentioned that the common area domination party of the Army & Police tried to stop a vehicle, which they suspected based on the information they received. Following that the firing started during which, two terrorists were shot down. The post also mentioned that the force recovered several arms and ammunition from the killed terrorists.
According to the sources, the terrorists were identified as Arbaaz Mir and Shahid Sheikh of Pulwama. Reportedly, both of them have links to the illegal terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The ADGP of Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, stated that both the terrorists tried to escape from the recent encounter narrowly. However, Indian Army and J&K police were quick with their act and gave the culprits no opportunity to escape.
