West Bengal’s Chief Minister and the All India Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee made an appeal addressing a rally at Mendipathar in the North Garo Hills district of Meghalaya on Wednesday. She deliberately requested the voters of Meghalaya to throw away the proxy BJP government in the state during the upcoming elections.
Mamata’s appeal addressed 50,000 to 55,000 people who attended the rally at the Dilma Apal Playground in Mendipathar in Meghalaya’s North Garo Hills district. The occasion of such a big gathering was the vast All India Trinamool Congress rally.
The leader received applause from the massive audience at the venue. In response, Mamata Banerjee stated that she specifically flew down to Meghalaya to convey a special message to the people. She mentioned that, according to her, only TMC could give the state better governance, leading the state to reach the peak it deserves.
