Man attempts suicide in Jorhat district of Assam after wife gives birth to a baby boy instead of a girl
A strange incident occurred when a man from Jorhat jumped off the roof of Jorhat Medical College and Hospital. Officials said he tried to kill himself after his wife gave birth to a baby boy instead of a baby girl.
The man is identified as Jitumoni Das from Bokakhat, Assam. Although he jumped off the roof, he survived the fall and was admitted to the same hospital. Currently, he is undergoing treatment, and his family is hoping for a speedy recovery.
According to the sources, a family member of Jitumoni Das mentioned that he was not having very normal behavior after his son was born. Instead, he looked very nervous and remained anxious most of the time.
Das’s mother spoke to the media, where she mentioned that Jitumoni had always dreamt of having a baby girl. However, after his boy was born, he was heartbroken. She also added that for the last two days, he was in a shocked state of mind and faced difficulties accepting that he is now a father of a baby boy.
