A strange incident occurred when a girl of just 6 years was allegedly raped and murdered at a tea garden in the Sonitpur district of Assam.
The crime was reported on Tuesday at Muhinipur tea garden near Dhekiajuli. The police recovered the body and headed for an investigation to find the offender.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Sonitpur district, Birinchi Borah, stated that the police are active in the investigation and have identified the culprit already. Based on that, the police will catch the culprit very soon.
In his statement, he mentioned that the police received information about the body of a minor girl at the Muhinipur tea garden through the locals. They reached the place immediately and recovered the body. He added that without losing time, his team started the investigation and would soon arrest the culprit.
The incident has heated the situation, and locals demanded for the district administration and police trace down the culprit at the earliest.
