In a joint operation between the Cachar Police and the 147th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), a significant quantity of illegal drugs was seized from the possession of Kamal Uddin.
According to the authorities, the operation was carried out based on a tip-off received by the police about the involvement of Kamal Uddin in drug trafficking in the region. Acting on the information, the police and CRPF personnel launched a search operation in the area and apprehended Kamal Uddin.
During the search, the law enforcement team discovered 345 grams of cannabis and six plastic containers, each containing three grams of suspected brown sugar, in possession of Kamal Uddin. The seized drugs are estimated to have a street value of several thousand rupees.
The authorities have confirmed that Kamal Uddin was immediately taken into custody and booked under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. He will be produced before a local court for further legal proceedings.
