Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi threatened actor Salman Khan in a recent interview, demanding an apology for allegedly humiliating Bishnoi’s community by killing a blackbuck. Bishnoi stated that if Salman did not apologize, he would face the consequences and that he would break Salman’s ego sooner or later.
Bishnoi has been previously linked to a threat letter sent to Salman and his father, lyricist Salim Khan, last year, which referenced the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
Although Bishnoi denied involvement in the letter, he warned Salman to be prepared to face the consequences if he did not apologize. Bishnoi also requested that Salman come to their deity’s temple to apologize, adding that he would not say anything if their society forgave him.
The Mumbai Police had issued a firearm license for self-protection to Salman last year after he received threats from Bishnoi’s gang members. Salman was also given a Y+ security cover by the Maharashtra government in November last year, which includes four armed security personnel at all times.
According to a police official, Bishnoi’s gang members had tried to befriend Salman’s house staff and gather information on his whereabouts.
