Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal has spoken out against nepotism, saying that celebrity children are more likely to be given opportunities and second chances than their counterparts. In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Rampal discussed the benefits enjoyed by the offspring of entertainment business professionals.
The actor stated that the portrayal of nepotism in the film Om Shanti Om by Shah Rukh Khan’s character, “Om Kapoor,” really bothered him. Rampal expressed his opinion that celebrity children have an advantage over others who do not come from famous families since they are given more opportunities.
Rampal’s remarks are part of a bigger discussion about nepotism in Bollywood, which has been a matter of interest for a while. Several actors, including Kangana Ranaut, have addressed the issue and its impact on non-industry careers.
Rampal, though, has overcome these obstacles to become a recognized figure in Bollywood, and he also has a number of exciting projects in the works. The actor will be featured in two upcoming films, one directed by the dynamic duo Abbas Mustan, as well as featuring in Aparna Sen’s The Rapist.
