In the wake of ethnic violence in Manipur, more than 2,000 people from the state have fled to neighbouring Mizoram. The displaced people are primarily from the Saitual and Kolasib districts of Manipur, and they have sought refuge in Mizoram, where the Mizo people provide shelter to their relatives.
The Mizoram government is also trying to provide temporary shelters for displaced people. On Monday, 86 more stranded state residents were evacuated to Mizoram from Imphal, the capital city of Manipur.
Despite the ongoing evacuation efforts, there are still 68 state residents who are stranded in Manipur. The government is making all possible efforts to evacuate them and provide them with necessary assistance.
The ethnic violence in Manipur has caused widespread unrest in the state, and the situation is tense.
Meanwhile, the displaced people from Manipur in Mizoram are receiving help and support from the local community, friends, and relatives in the state. Due to this violence, the government is also working towards creating temporary shelters for displaced people.
