An official opening ceremony was held for the Auto Expo 2023, 16th edition on Thursday. A visit to the TATA pavilion was made by Nitin Gadkari during Auto Expo 2023 which was in Greater Noida. Electric vehicles were a big attraction on the first day of Auto Expo 2023, which included two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers.
On the auto industry, Nitin Gadkari said, “The automobile industry sector in India is the primary driver of the country’s rapid economic expansion”. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has envisioned Atmanirbhar Bharat and the auto industry will play a major role in realizing it,” Gadkari said at the Auto Expo 2023. He further said, Today, India imports green hydrogen, but with the advancement of industry innovation, it will export green hydrogen as well,” and thus they are glad the automotive industry is considering alternative fuel.
A number of companies, including SIAM, were present at the programme along with Nitin Gadkari and Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey.
Also during his inaugural speech, he emphasized the importance of the automobile industry in India as the world’s fastest-growing economy. The Indian economy relies on this industry to grow, he said. Transit vehicles, including trains, planes, buses, can all be powered by green hydrogen in near future he added.
