In a tragic event that happened on the Ramnagar Bypass, a head-on collision between a scooter and a motorbike resulted in the deaths of three young people and the serious injury of one. The incident occurred at around 1:00 a.m., sending shockwaves across the town.
The names of the deceased victims are Rohan Choudhury, Suhail Khan, and Kunal Kaur. The injured person, Dipanjan Dutta, was brought straight to a neighbouring hospital, where doctors are attempting to save his life.
Local neighbours and police officers rapidly reacted to the incident, working together to give help and protect the area. Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam, offered his deepest sympathies and requested a thorough inquiry into the catastrophe. This investigation will also investigate the prior tragic traffic accident involving students.
As part of the investigation, the Principal of the Assam Engineering College (AEC) and the Superintendent of the dormitory where the deceased students stayed have been placed on administrative leave until the conclusion of the probe. In view of frequent student confrontations during the pre- and post-election periods, Dr. Sarma has also proposed that the Education division form a committee charged with examining the present college and university election system.
