Emotional Varun Chakravarthy dedicates Player of the Match award to newborn son

In an emotional moment after winning the Player of the Match award in the recent IPL game against RCB, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spinner Varun Chakravarthy dedicated his award to his wife and newborn son. Chakravarthy became emotional while expressing his longing to meet his son, whom he has not yet seen due to his IPL commitments.

Despite his emotions, Chakravarthy put in a match-winning performance, taking the crucial wicket of RCB skipper Virat Kohli and finishing with figures of 1/25 in his four overs. Speaking to Harsha Bhogle in a post-match interview, Chakravarthy focused on accuracy rather than more variations while relishing the challenge of bowling the tricky overs for his team.

When asked when he would see his son, Chakravarthy replied that it would only be possible after the IPL. Bogle then requested KKR CEO Venk Mysore to allow the spinner to visit his family between a couple of games.

Chakravarthy’s dedication to the game and his team was evident in his performance, as he played a crucial role in KKR’s victory over RCB. Despite the emotional toll of being away from his family, Chakravarthy focuses on contributing to his team’s success in the IPL.
