With their current point total, the Gujarat Titans are certain to finish in the top two of the Indian Premier League 2023 and therefore go to the postseason. The Titans’ dominance throughout the competition has earned them a crack at the crown.
However, despite missing out on first place, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are in an excellent position to finish in the top four. CSK still has a good chance of making the playoffs because of their hot streak and formidable roster.
Mumbai Indians (MI), now in third place, have a fantastic 89 per cent probability of finishing in the top four. They have a history of success and a veteran roster, both of which bode well for a strong postseason run.
With a 65.2% probability of making the playoffs, the fourth-place Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have performed admirably. Their solid play has given them a real shot at moving on in the competition.
The battle for the last playoff berths shows no signs of letting up. In fifth position, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) still has a good 43.8 per cent probability of finishing in the top four. The sixth-place Rajasthan Royals (RR) and seventh-place Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have a slim chance of making the playoffs.
The Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have been knocked out of the playoffs and can now turn their attention to planning for future seasons.
