November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day in India and we take this opportunity to bring to our readers some of the most influential children form our country, whom we can all look up to.
From Jawaharlal Nehru to APJ Abdul Kalam to Narendra Modi, a lot of our leaders have shown keen interest in the progress of children of the country, hailing them as the future of the country. This becomes even more important in a country like India, which is one of the youngest countries among the major economies. For our growing population the success and failures of the children of this country does bear great importance for our future.
In this article, we take a look at some of the most inspiration children of the country over the past few years in our opinion.

01. Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa
At just 10 years old, Praggnanandhaa became the youngest ever chess master and a few years later, became the fifth youngest Grandmaster in the game. He has been representing India in multiple international competitions and among the most promising young Grandmasters in the world.
He is one of the most inspiring underdog stories in the country. The son of a farmer, he has survived being kidnapped by child traffickers and has managed to rely on his zeal towards education to get accepted for undergraduate course at Virginia Tech in the US. Now, he also shares his knowledge with his peers in his village and teaches them by conducting informal classes to help them get out of their financial and social woes.
3. SSP Chowrasia
In an almost cinematic rags to riches story, Chowrasia, who grew up in the slums of Kolkata with seven siblings and parents, has gone on to become one of the most accomplished golfers from the country. He has also represented India in the Rio Olympics. From sharing a slum with 8 other people to owning 3 homes in Kolkata, this aspiring child prodigy has come a long way.
04. Lydian Nadhaswaram
This young musica prodigy made heads turn with his appearance on the highly influential Ellen DeGeneres Show in the US. The student from AR Rehman’s KM Music Conservatory had also won the CBS Global Talent Show. By the age of eight, he had already mastered the drums and the piano.
5. Kautilya Pandit
With a name that immediately suggests intellect, this young talent lives up to his name. Boasting an IQ of 150, the young prodigy was also known as the Google Boy or the human computer. The wonder kid has also appeared on the KBC as is considered among the most promising minds of the next generation.
There are a whole wealth of children that don’t find mention in this article but do definitely deserve to.
