Assam CM’s Massive Rs 2,500 Crore Development Projects Bring Karbi Anglong to New Heights
Approximately Rs 2,500 crore worth of development projects had their cornerstones laid in the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council on Wednesday, thanks to the efforts of Assam Chief Minister Dr HimantaBiswa Sarma. These initiatives aim to deliver on the guarantees made during the 2016 campaign.
The initiatives include the Jal Jeevan Mission, the development of 130 model Anganwadi facilities, and a new office complex for the Deputy Commissioner. In addition, the Chief Minister has promised that the administration would continue to work toward improving the Karbi Anglong district for the betterment of its citizens.
The Chief Minister also said that Orunodoi program participants would soon receive Rs 1400 monthly payments. The financially disadvantaged are the intended beneficiaries of this plan.
The Chief Minister lauded the efforts of the Karbi Students’ Association to improve the quality of life in Karbi and called on other non-governmental groups to do the same. He said that the administration is serious about the region’s progress and that these measures were taken to that end.
Among those in attendance were Ministers Ajanta Neog, Jayanta Mallabaruah, and Jogen Mohan, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Pabitra Margherita, Member of Parliament Horen Sing Bey, KAAC Chief Executive TuliramRonghang, and Deputy Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly Dr.Numal Momin.
