Seven Drug Traffickers Arrested in Guwahati, Police Seize Rs 38,020, Six Mobiles, and More
Seven people were apprehended, and many narcotics, including 10,000 Yaba pills, were recovered in a series of raids undertaken by the Guwahati police to crack down on drug trafficking in the city.
Police acted on a tip regarding the illicit drug trade, and the resulting operation resulted in the arrests of people from Manipur, Meghalaya, and Assam. The police also took away a vehicle with the license plate number ML05-Z-1470, a total of Rs 38,020 in cash, six mobile phones, one SIM card, and an empty vial.
As the web of drug trafficking extends over national boundaries, the police are looking into the possibility that the suspect was involved in drug transactions on an international scale. The government is resolved to crack down on drug trafficking in the area and bring those involved to justice.
Police arrested four suspected drug dealers on AK Azad Road, where they were found to possess 25 vials and 2.5 gms of Heroin. The accused also had a car and two mobile phones taken from him by the authorities. Action has been taken legally against the people, and they will be held accountable for their conduct to the fullest extent of the law.
