A loud blast that reverberated throughout the Didarkush Tea Estate in the Kachudaram police station area of Cachar has perplexed locals. Residents rushed out to find the source of the explosion, only to discover a damaged teak tree.
The incident caught the attention of the Cachar Superintendent of Police, NumalMahatta, who took it upon himself to investigate the matter with Kachudaram Police personnel. Speaking to the media, Mahatta stated that the initial investigation did not indicate using a professionally built bomb as no splinters were found at the scene.
Mahatta confirmed that the explosive device appeared more akin to a firecracker, possibly locally made. However, he refrained from speculating on possible reasons for someone to detonate a firecracker in a secluded area of an open field. He urged the local population not to panic and assured them that the authorities were investigating the matter.
While the exact motive behind the explosion remains unknown, the SP has assured the public that the investigation is underway. However, at this stage, it did not look like there was anything to panic over.
