Mumtaz Reacts Being Called ‘Every Man’s Lust’ & ‘Marilyn Monroe of India’

The classic actress Mumtaz was one of the most beautiful and renowned heroines during the 70s and 80s. This Bollywood classic beauty has given quite some blockbusters to the industry. While her pure beauty dazzled the audience, some tagged her as ‘Marilyn Monroe of India’ and ‘Every Man’s Lust’. The legendary actress responded to the comments and said there is no wrong in being called any of these. 

Mumtaz started her acting career in 1951. She grabbed some attention with a negative role in the 1965 Mere Sanam film. Later her film ‘Do Raaste’ (1969) became a blockbuster, and ever since that, she came into the limelight. 

Recently, in an Interview Mumtaz opened up about several things in her life, which included her career, co-stars, fans, and love interests. When the interviewer asked how she feels being called ‘Every Man’s lust’ and ‘Marilyn Monroe of India’, the actress confidentiality answered that she feels it is not a crime to be desirable. Mumtaz took it as a compliment and believed that her work helped her gain innumerable hearts. Referring to the same, when she was asked how many actors were affectionate towards her, she stated that all the actors were fond of her. 

Mumtaz also stated that legendary actor Dev Anand once asked her to take care of her body and hair so that she could keep looking young. He also told her that age is just a number and Mumtaz could have a boyfriend in her 90s if she wanted.
