In a startling revelation, renowned actor Manav Kaul has shared a harrowing incident from his past where he and four others were mistakenly suspected in the infamous 1997 murder case of Gulshan Kumar, the founder of T-Series. The incident occurred during their stay in Dahisar, where financial constraints led them to stay awake till late hours, enjoying tea before retiring for the night.
The group, comprising aspiring artists, frequently visited studios and Film City, returning home late at night. However, their nocturnal activities raised suspicions among some residents in their residential society, leading to an unfortunate misunderstanding. One fateful night while engrossed in a card game, their house was surrounded by the police, who promptly took them to the Dahisar police station for questioning regarding Gulshan Kumar’s murder.
While Manav Kaul found the situation somewhat amusing, his companions were understandably terrified. Recollecting his younger self, Kaul reflected on how this incident served as his unique initiation into the bustling city of Mumbai.
Gulshan Kumar, had met a tragic demise on August 12, 1997, when he was fatally shot multiple times in Mumbai.
