Brutal Attack on School girls in Assam’s Hailakandi District: One Victim Succumbs to Injuries, Two Accused Arrested
Two minor school girls fell victim to a vicious attack in Hailakandi district wherein they were raped by a groups of three individuals. The accused individuals have been identified as Jabir Ahmed Barbhuiya (21), Ansar Uddin Mazumdar (22) and Jubair Ahmed Talukdar (27). The victims were kidnapped and transported to a forested location near Mohanpur, where they were brutally assaulted.
Tragically, one of the girls perished due to injuries acquired during the horrible incident. She was transported to the Silchar Medical College Hospital, but her injuries proved fatal. The health of the second victim is reportedly stable, and she is now getting medical attention.
The police launched a search operation after receiving a complaint from the father of one of the girls, finally locating the victims in a severe condition. Jabir Ahmed Barbhuiya and Ansar Uddin Mazumdar were subsequently arrested in relation to the crime. However, another suspect, Jubair Ahmed Talukdar, remains at large, forcing the police to request the public’s aid in locating him.
Authorities have stressed the severity of the issue and urged anyone with knowledge on Jubair Ahmed Talukdar to come forward immediately.
